How to Calibrate Frequency
The frequency calibration is a puzzle that you need to solve in order to stabilize the reality shifts and communicate with Rafael. You will encounter this puzzle after you find the director’s office in the ruined reality and meet Dr. Patel, who will explain to you what happened at the station.
Dr. Patel will tell you that they were experimenting with a metallic object that they found on Freya III, which turned out to be an alien artifact that can manipulate space-time. She will also tell you that Rafael was the one who activated the artifact, causing a massive explosion that split the station into two realities.
Dr. Patel will ask you to help her calibrate the frequency of a device that she built, which can send signals across realities. She will give you a device called a Frequency Scanner, which you can use to scan different objects in the station and find their frequencies.
To calibrate the frequency, you need to do the following steps:
- Scan four objects in the station that have different frequencies. You can scan any object that has a blue glow around it, such as computers, monitors, terminals, etc. You can also scan objects in both realities by using the reality shifts that occur randomly or by interacting with certain triggers.

- Follow Dr. Patel’s instructions and go to Lab 3, where Rafael is located. You will need to use the reality shifts to navigate through the station and avoid any dangers or obstacles.
- Once you reach Lab 3, you will see a large metal door that is locked. You will need to find a way to open it and access the lab.
- To open the door, you will need to find two keycards: one in each reality. The keycards are hidden in different locations in Lab 3, and you will need to use your Frequency Scanner to locate them.
- The first keycard is in your reality, and it is inside a locker on the left side of Lab 3. Use your Frequency Scanner to scan the locker and open it with your hacking tool. You will find a blue keycard inside.
- The second keycard is in Rafael’s reality, and it is inside a safe on the right side of Lab 3. Use your Frequency Scanner to scan the safe and open it with your lockpicking tool. You will find a red keycard inside.
- After finding both keycards, go back to the metal door and insert them into their respective slots: blue for left and red for right. The door will unlock and open, revealing Lab 3.
- Enter Lab 3 and find Rafael. He will be lying on a table near a large machine that holds the alien artifact. He will tell you that he tried to deactivate the artifact but failed, and that he is dying from radiation poisoning.
