During the virtual award ceremony for World Esports Cup on Friday, 14th February 2022, World Cup-winning India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh shed light on MS Dhoni’s fondness for Esports.
According to Harbhajan Singh, the majority of Indian cricketers enjoy Esports and spend time playing a variety of online games. The great spinner further stated that Dhoni spends most of his time away from cricket by sitting in front of his gaming devices.
Virat Kohli

He then goes on to describe it as an odd sensation for him. He said “I’ve always enjoyed playing video games. I have always enjoyed playing cricket games on my gaming consoles, phones, and tablets, among other things. So now I have my own game. Obviously, this is quite thrilling for me because I know how much I enjoy games.”
In another instance, Virat Kohli, India’s Test captain, spent Monday (June 20) playing his favorite video game on PlayStation when rain in Mumbai stopped him from going to practice.

Yuzvendra Chahal is known as the cricketer who is most enthusiastic about playing PUBG. He enjoyed playing PUBG with other cricketers and well-known pals such as renowned rapper Raftaar, well-known comedian Tanmay Bhatt (AIB co-founder), and Samay Raina (co-winner of Comicstaan 2). Chahal appeared on OnePlus’s channels in many streams and a PUBGM competition.
Smriti Mandhana, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul joined Yuzvendra Chahal in the OnePlus competition, which was televised on OnePlus India’s channel. Four of these cricketers shared the field with prominent esports athletes such as Scout, Dynamo Gaming, Jonathan Gaming, Godnixon, and well-known actress Ahsaas Channa.

Riyan Parag is a bright spot among India’s next generation of cricket stars.
The Assamese all-rounder has already created a name for himself by playing for his state team in the domestic circuit, being a member of India’s winning squad at the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and becoming the youngest player to register a league half-century with Rajasthan Royals in 2019.
Unbeknownst to many, Riyan is also an enthusiastic gamer who enjoys CS: GO. And when he faced CS: GO player Ankit Panth and his team, the world discovered that Riyan’s passion for the game is matched by his talent.
