Account must have enough V- Bucks:
Transferring gifts in Fortnite is generally not free so make sure that you have the necessary V-Bucks to buy the item you want to gift before heading to the Item Shop.
Keep in mind that V-Bucks bought in Fortnite can not be used on any other platform. For example, if you are a Nintendo Switch user and you bought your V-Bucks using that press, those V-Bucks can not be spent in, say, your smartphone, PC, or another console. This means that you can’t use those V-Bucks to buy gift skins in your PC, Smartphone, PlayStation, or Xbox.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication or 2FA:

Also, keep in mind that you can only send five gifts within 24 hours. However, you must let a day pass before you do it again if you’ve exceeded the permitted number of transferrable skins which is five.

The way to gift skins in Fortnite is easy. Here’s how
- Go to the Fortnite main lobby.
- Open Item Shop.
- Elect the item that you want to shoot to your friend as a gift.
- On the purchase screen, select BUY AS A GIFT.
- Choose a friend from your Friends List. Press the button to continue. Make sure that you select the correct friend from the list as bought items are non-refundable.
- You can also customize your gift by choosing one of the gift boxes if you want to.
- You can even attach a specialized message if you want, or you can simply press the button to Send.
- That’s it! Your friend should be seeing a notification that says “Someone transferred you a Gift” when they login to their Fortnite Account
