How to Unlock in Noelle in Genshin Impact
While Noelle is not in the player’s preliminary party, she is very likely to be one of the first characters you obtain through the game’s gacha system.
Wishing on the Beginners’ Wish banner is the quickest way to obtain Noelle. This banner is only available to new players and expires after 20 Wishes are made on it. Noelle is guaranteed to appear on or before the eighth Wish on the Beginner’s Wish banner and can only be obtained once. Fortunately, because the game isn’t too stingy with its freebie requests, even F2P players should have no trouble adding Noelle to their collection.
You can also roll Noelle at any time by Wishing on the Wanderlust Invocation banner, as well as through all Character Event Wishes and Weapon Event Wishes. She also appears on the former with a higher drop rate on occasion.
Below is a list of all the Abilities that Noelle players have access to. These are the main talents that you can use to take on foes in the game.
Normal Attack: Favonius Bladework – Maid
Noelle uses her claymore to make up to four consecutive strikes. Her charged attack uses 40 stamina per second to perform continuous spinning attacks on nearby opponents.
- Normal Attack – Upto 4 consecutive slashes can be dealt.
- Charged Attack – Stamina is depleted over time in order to perform a continuous swirling attack on all nearby opponents. Noelle finishes the sequence with an additional powerful slash.
- Plunging Attack – Noelle leaps from mid-air to strike the ground below, inflicting damage on opponents in her path and dealing AoE DMG on impact.
Elemental Skill: Breastplate
Noelle summons a stone armor that deals Geo elemental damage to enemies nearby. The shield’s absorption capacity grows in proportion to Noelle’s DEF.
Noelle’s normal and charged attacks have a chance to regenerate HP for all party members based on her maximum HP when they strike an enemy. DMG absorption efficiency against elemental and physical DMG is 150%.
Elemental Burst: Sweeping Time
Noelle deals Geo damage to enemies in a wide area. In this state, her claymore is infused with the Geo element and cannot be overridden by any other element. Noelle receives a temporary ATK bonus equal to up to 95% of her DEF.
The Best Noelle Build (Is Noelle a Good Character in Genshin Impact?)
Noelle is best suited to a main, on-field, AoE DPS role with healing and shields. We recommend pairing her with another geo character, such as Genshin Impact’s Zhongli, for elemental resonance that increases overall geo damage.
Noelle has an easy-to-learn and plays rotation, and her attacks cover a wide range, dealing good AoE damage. Fans refer to her as the ‘One-Maid Army’ because of her overall ‘tankiness’ and ability to provide both shields and healing.
Unfortunately, her single target DPS is quite low, and she has to rely heavily on her C5 and C6 constellations to shine as a carry. Furthermore, because she deals with geo damage, she can’t use strong elemental reactions to increase her damage, and she needs a good battery to keep her up, like Genshin Impact’s Ningguang.
Best Weapon: The Unforged (Alternative- Skyward Pride)
There are a few options for Noelle’s best weapon, depending on whether you want to improve her attack or defense. For a Shield Support build, you’ll want to prioritize defense, in which case The Unforged is the weapon of choice. Noelle’s shield is increased by 20% while wielding this claymore. For every hit she scores on an opponent, her attack increases by 4%. Furthermore, these can be stacked up to five times and increase by 100% again if her shield is in place when she strikes.
Best Artifact: Retracting Bolide
- 2-piece Bonus: Increase the Shield Strength by 35%.
- 4-piece Bonus: Gain an additional 40% Normal and Charged Attack Damage while shielded.
When it comes to Artifacts for Noelle, one clear choice stands out: the Retracting Bolide set. Whether you choose to focus Noelle’s weapon selection on her defensive capabilities or not, equipping as many Retracting Bolide pieces as possible will ensure that Noelle can enter the fray with little concern for her safety. Her shield strength is increased by 35% when two pieces from this set are equipped. Equip four pieces, and she will gain an additional 40% damage on her normal and charged attacks.
Your stat priority choices for Noelle’s artifacts should be as follows:
- Circlet of Logos: DEF% or CRIT DMG
- Sands of Eon: DEF%
- Goblet of Eonothem: DEF%
- Substats: DEF% and CRIT DMG
- Main DPS: Kaeya
- Secondary DPS: The Traveler (Geo)
- Shield: Noelle
- Healer: Barbara
- Note– The Traveler can be replaced by Albedo as the sub-DPS.
If you use Noelle as your main pillar, you can put together a heavily defended party made up mostly of free characters. Combine her with a DPS of the Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo element. We chose Kaeya because he is the most powerful free DPS main available. You can replace your best fighter with any of these elements for your main DPS. Combining their elemental powers with Noelle’s results in the Crystallise Elemental Reaction, which raises an elemental shield.
The sub-DPS for Noelle’s party should be a fellow Geo character. Unfortunately, the only free option here is the Geo-enabled Traveler, who isn’t particularly strong. Hence, this is a good opportunity to replace them with a more powerful premium Geo character, such as 5* Albedo if you have them. Upon combining two Geo characters in a party, you gain access to the Enduring Rock resonance. This artifact uses your shield to increase resistance to interruption.
Finally, Barbara is available for free (with a little effort) and is one of the best healers in the game. This party, with the exception of Kaeya (who has the unusual ability to heal himself while attacking), risks losing battle effectiveness if Noelle’s shield is breached. This is unlikely to happen frequently due to Barbara’s numerous opportunities to boost the team’s defenses. However, it’s useful to have Barbara around to provide healing for Noelle and the sub-DPS to ensure that the shields can be raised again.
If you want to save your Wishes, Noelle is a great character to have at the forefront of your party. Almost all of her Constellations provide significant benefits to her two Geo Talents, which are among her most useful features, as we discussed above; thus, if you’re thinking of levelling someone all the way up, Noelle is a good candidate.I Got Your Back (Lvl 1): While Sweeping Time and Breastplate are both active, the chance of the healing effects of Breastplate activating is increased to 100%.
