Sons of the Forest Rope Gun Cave Location Guide
- Visit the rope gun cave seen on the annotated map above. The cave is located on a trail near a lake, west of the snowy mountains.
- When approaching the Rope Gun cave, make sure you have a powerful weapon. We would suggest a Stun Baton or a Pistol. Within, there are many adversaries to defeat, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed if you don’t come prepared.
- Enter the cave and proceed forward until you reach a vast room. There will be a lot of cave cannibals in the room, so be prepared to fight a lot of them.
- Keep to the left side of the cave to find an opening to a new road. If you carry on straight, you will reach a mutant-blocked passageway.
- Proceed through the cave until you reach the first road bifurcation. The left path will take you to the rope gun, but the right way will take you to a page with some lore.
- Continue on the left path through the cave until you reach another fork in the road. The left way will take you to a dead end with a few supplies to pick up, while the right path will take you to the rope gun.
- Go straight until you reach a cliff with a rope gun in a briefcase.
- Get the rope gun and use it on the zipline to exit the cave.
Sons of the Forest Rope Gun Use
You can use the Rope Gun to fire a Zipline Rope, which can be used to quickly scale or descend from high areas.
You can make a Zipline Rope in your inventory by combining Rope with a Grappling Hook. With a 3D printer, you may make a Grappling Hook.
Simply aim and fire the Rope Gun at the desired location to create a zipline. Then, aim your feet at the ground to set up the other end. This will activate the zipline between those two points, allowing you to interact with it and get on to reach your destination.
When you land on the opposite side, simply interact with where the zipline connects to the ground to remove it. This will restore it to your inventory, allowing you to reload and fire again.

How to Get Rope and Grappling Hook in Sons of the Forest
Grappling hooks must be made with a 3D printer, which may be found in a few bunkers scattered throughout the landscape.
